This course is designed to equip current and aspiring board members of child care centers with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective governance. Participants will explore the recruitment of board members, roles, responsibilities of board members, focusing on areas such as committee assignments, financial oversight and responsibility, and regulatory compliance, and director partnership.
Through interactive discussions, and practical exercises, participants will learn how to collaborate with directors, staff, and stakeholders to ensure the long-term sustainability and success of child care centers. Board leadership and center directors will learn key responsibilities and financial reviews that support healthy businesses.
By the end of this course, participants will have a solid understanding of governance frameworks and tools to support and guide child care centers in achieving their mission and goals. Ideal for board members, directors, and stakeholders in the early childhood sector.
